Everybody knows I'm always on this mission to save serious $$. Lately, Nick has been squeezing in workout time before actual work, which leaves him little time to eat breakfast at home. Usually, he'll buy breakfast before going to work, and at 2-3 workouts a week, that can cost up to $25 weekly for breakfast, 4 weeks in a month= $100. Yeah, I'm going to save that.
Bring in Hot Pockets! My childhood favourite, next to Lunchables of course, but that's another story. I remember coming home from school and heating up one of these bad boys, and in 2-3 minutes, a tasty, chewy-on-the-outside, gooey-on-the-inside, handheld snack. The older I get, however, the more I'm aware of additives and hydrogenated crap, so bye-bye, Hot Pockets, and say hello to my Breakfast Hot Pouches. Make 'em, freeze 'em, heat 'em, eat 'em. For $20 you can make enough for an entire month (less than $1 for each pocket) and using ingredients that you know and can pronounce.
